Kohei Ozawa received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering in 2017 from the University of Tokyo, Japan, on the conceptual demonstration of mixture ratio control and its effectiveness in hybrid rocket propulsion performance. Post Ph.D., he joined Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, as an assistant professor and was promoted to an associate professor in 2022. Currently, Kohei Ozawa is a visiting school at the University of Michigan Gas Dynamics Imaging Laboratory (GDIL) as an overseas research fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science while maintaining his position in Japan. His current research at GDIL focuses on the development of thermometry for detonating flows using laser-induced fluorescence techniques for NO sensing.
